Water System Flushing Scheduled
Cedar Gates and Lone Oak Areas

  • Beacon Hill Water and Sewer District’s utility crew will be flushing water mains in the areas of Cedar Gates Road, Lone Oak Rd, Sunset Drive and Way, and adjacent streets from Monday, October 17, through Thursday, November 3, 2016 to remove sediment and to ensure hydrants and valves are operating properly.
  • Work will begin at 8:00 a.m. and end by 5:00 p.m. each day.
  • Advisory signs will be posted in the area.
  • Water may appear cloudy or discolored during flushing due to sediment particles being flushed out at high speeds.  Residents should refrain from using water while flushing is occurring.
  • After flushing, it is recommended that residents run water through an outside hose bib or in a bathtub for a short time prior to consuming water or washing clothes in order to clear the lines.
